How does Arepo keep our data secure and private?

Your documents are indexed in a tenant of your company’s own and encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not train AI models on your data, and our model providers commit not to train on it either. Security has the details and the DPA.

What file formats does Arepo support?

PDF, Word (.docx), plain text (.txt) and Markdown (.md). The largest file you can upload depends on your plan; see Pricing.

How accurate are the answers?

Each answer is written from the passages of your documents that best match the question, so it is only as current as those files. In all five channels it lists the files it used, and answers your team approved are matched first; see step 4 of How it works.

Can I customize the AI’s personality and responses?

Yes. Write instructions for tone and scope once as your default, and give a chat channel or your website widget its own when it needs a different voice. The default keeps a version history, so you can see what changed and revert.

What happens when Arepo can’t find an answer?

It depends on the channel. The email bot is told to reply that it has no information on the topic rather than guess, and the website widget can hand the conversation to a person; see handoff.
